About time to amend that DHS report on ‘right wing extremism’ – American Thinker. Blog – February 17, 2010

Now that left-wing “odd ball” Amy Bishop opened fire killing three people, will Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano be forced reissue the treatise, Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment to include left-wing university professors who shoot colleagues if denied tenure?

Responding to criticism for charging ex-military, pro-life advocates and supporters of the right to bear arms as domestic terrorists–Janet defended the fundamental purpose of the declassified report. Fortifying the government’s position, Big Sis said,

Let me be very clear: we monitor the risks of violent extremism taking root here in the United States. We don’t have the luxury of focusing our efforts on one group; we must protect the country from terrorism whether foreign or homegrown, and regardless of the ideology that motivates its violence.

Ah…yeah right!

Based on political philosophy, those without a record of violence are perpetually examined under Napolitano’s ideological microscope. In the meantime a truly dangerous Amy Bishop avoided suspicion after shooting her 18-year-old brother Seth in the chest with a shotgun–killing him. Terrorist terminator Napolitano purports to monitor risks and protect Americans, “regardless of ideology,” but Janet somehow failed to flag a leftist, neurobiology professor with a history of homicidal behavior.

Big Sis’s surveillance agenda includes monitoring prospective right-wing extremists “not yet turned to attack planning.” For the past year, Secretary Napolitano kept close watch on the benign, while a sibling shooter and double-pipe bomb mailer was legitimately being considered for tenure at a major university.  Can anyone say Fort Hood shooter?

Citing racism Napolitano’s fanatic study argued right-wing extremists are, “capitalizing on the election of the first African American president, and are focusing their efforts to recruit new members.”While Napolitano screened old ladies reciting the rosary in front of abortion clinics, a shotgun toting “far-left political extremist obsessed with President Obama,” didn’t even register a blip on the radical radar.

What has been Napolitano’s concentration?  Economic downturn induced right-wing carnage–what else? Big Sis’s discourse on extremism argued, “The current economic and political climate has some similarities to the 1990s when right wing extremism experienced a resurgence fueled largely by an economic recession.”DHS shadowed “rural militias” in Alabama, Arkansas and Pennsylvania, while liberal Amy Bishop, an “awkward introvert on the brink of losing her job,” methodically shot victims in the head at a faculty meeting at University of Alabama in Huntsville.

Napolitano’s report contended, “Proposed imposition of firearms restrictions and weapons bans likely would attract new members into the ranks of right wing extremist groups.” Speaking to reporters Bishop’s husband, James Anderson admitted he knew his wife had a gun, but didn’t know when or how she got it. Left wing Amy lacked a legal permit for the murder weapon the “unsociable” professor used to dispose of three colleagues.

According to DHS “Lone wolves are the most dangerous domestic terrorism threat in the US…lone wolves … have shown intent-and, in some cases, the capability – to commit violent crimes.”More than once, “lone wolf” Bishop showed “capability.”Competence became reality when the tenure candidate proved academic metal by gunning down six people, killing Gopi K. Podila, Maria Ragland Davis and Adriel Johnson.

Victims’ relatives questioned how seven years ago the University of Alabama hired Bishop disregarding the death of her brother and dismissing the controversial Harvard pipe bomb probe? Apparently, in keeping with Napolitano DHS-style thinking, when compared to right-wing gun owners and pro-life advocates–left-wing liberal Amy’s brutal, erratic behavior was deemed nonthreatening to American lives.
