First the Natural, Then the Spiritual

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12).

If I may be so bold, the Bible also says: “However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual” (1 Corinthians 15:46).  That particular Scripture seems to be conveying a simple truth applicable today:  What you see in the natural life of a person or situation is indicative of an inner spiritual condition.

Furthermore,  Scripture tells us that “God is not a God of disorder but of peace.”  Thus if disorder reigns, chaos is a fruit plucked from a tree of ungodliness.  If serenity, accord and purity are visible, the presence of the spirit of God is evident.

Hence, when an expert in the field of health-code violations declared the “filth-ridden Zuccotti Park…[a]…pigpen,” and deemed it a “breeding ground for bacterial infection,” it didn’t take a genius to figure out which spirit inhabits what one expert called “Wal-Mart for rats.”

Despite the media’s attempt to portray the “Occupy” movement’s muck and mire as a noble endeavor, reports of infighting over drum beats and donation cheats is just the tip of an ugly iceberg consisting of reports of alleged rape, thievery, indecent exposure, drug abuse, and lewd behavior.

Criminality, lack of consideration for private property, and greed amongst those preaching against greed has been percolating beneath the surface of a sulphur pool that reeks with the stench of sewage.

The Occupy Wall Street disorder and discord includes “lack of lavatory facilities,” human beings with grimy unwashed hands acting like mongrels “defecating in the area,” and mismatched eating utensils floating in wash basins full of fetid water blessed with the droppings of “vermin”-like pigeons perched on branches overhead.

If the curtain could be pulled back on the natural situation that exists in Zuccotti Park, what would be unveiled is an otherworldly pit of depravity breathing life into the physical realm populated with people deceived into believing they are changing the world.

What would also be evident to anyone brave enough to venture into the Pit in the Park is that in a few short weeks an “urban oasis with a shady tree grove of 54 honey-locust trees, planters and shrubs,” where children frolicked and old men played chess has been transformed into a sty masking itself as a movement for social and economic change.

In the name of good intentions and equity towards the oppressed, New York City is now a pigpen, a playground for spirits who relish occupying people and places where moral depravity and human degeneracy is cultivated and flourishes.

Zuccotti Park has been altered to provide a recreational area for parasites, rodents and infection. Rats run freely through the streets, nibbling on the refuse left behind by a sea of human debris that live out their dissoluteness in full sight of those who have the spiritual insight to recognize from what domain decadence originates.

Behind the veil of the physical realm is a hatchway leading into the bowels of the earth. Writhing in time to the rhythm of an influence whose source of strength does not issue forth from a God who imparts both order and peace.

What is abiding within the movement is a seething mass of demonic activity disguised in t-shirts, blue jeans, and multi-colored wool caps.  Beings who mingle among those who decry power but fail to recognize certain actions and beliefs make them nothing more than easily manipulated vessels and pawns.

If there is any question about what is really going on in politics today, those who care should resist the temptation to look the other way.  America should stare squarely into the face of the perversion before us because it’s important to remember that the physical manifestation of what is taking place is merely bubbling up from beneath the surface where it originates in the spiritual realm.
