Hillary, the woman who “is in no ways tired” of pretending she has a normal marriage, who approves of the unfettered slaughter of 4,000 unborn babies a day, sanctions same-sex unions, and whose native language is lies, recently put on her preacher get-up and let loose proselytizing at the 31st Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards.
Notwithstanding how odd it is for people purporting to have faith in Jesus Christ to allow this woman anywhere near a Christian event – and besides her blood red outfit — the strangest thing about the whole Hillary appearance was she altered her cadence and morphed into her very best rendition of Bishop T.D. Jake.
Citing her own experiences with discouragement, Hillary shared that hearing “His Eye Is On The Sparrow”, either in church, on the radio, or sung by a friend, in the past, has made her “sing because she’s happy” and “sing because she’s free!”
Why? Because despite her shameless approbation of every philosophy, belief system, and societal more alien to the message Jesus preached, and besides the fact that she should be in jail, Hillary is assured that “His eye is on the sparrow, and she knows He’s watching her.”
Hey, Hillary! “Watching” does not mean, “agreeing.”
Nonetheless, what can be gleaned from what Hillary had to say about the iconic hymn is that when she sings “His Eye Is On The Sparrow,” she’s able to forget about the piles of aborted babies whose blood runs redder than the color of the outfit she was wearing. Apparently, Gospel hymns lift Mrs. Clinton out of the doldrums and allow her to conclude that “it doesn’t make a difference” that, on her watch, four dead Americans were shipped home from Benghazi in flag-draped coffins.
Let’s face it; a girl like Hillary has got to do something to distract herself from the post-traumatic stress of being shot at by Bosnian snipers.
Pretending to be Mahalia Jackson could also be the reason the life-long Methodist exhibits tacit approval concerning her philandering husband’s fatherly-forays to Pedophile Island.
Either way, one thing is certain, singing Gospel music must assist Hillary in her indifference toward her email server controversy. In addition, it must also help her dismiss carpet-bagging her way into a New York Senate seat, and numb memories of pesky annoyances such as: Travelgate, Whitewater, cattle futures, Vince Foster, Paula, Monica, Juanita, Dolly, Kathleen, Gennifer, and the “vast right-wing conspiracy “ that, according to her, still causes her trouble.
The presidential wannabe claims all she has to do is just croon the words to a Gospel song “And all of a sudden those clouds lift and [she knows she] can go on again,” doing what she does best, which is, lying, obfuscating, and obstructing the truth.
Evidently, for folks like Hillary, all it takes to profess to be a “person of faith” is singing a few bars to a hymn her politics prove she doesn’t believe.
Those sorts of glaring insincerities aside, Hillary proceeded to tell the adoring Stellar award crowd that black gospel music “is not just about music. It truly is about the message. It’s about the Gospel and all that it means to so many of us.”
Then, despite NARAL describing her as a “champion with a demonstrated record of fighting for reproductive freedom…” the presidential hopeful reminded Sunday churchgoers that the Gospel is a message “a lot of people need to hear.”
For that one, even Hillary deserves an “Amen?”
At any rate, for a clanging cymbal like Ms. Hillary Clinton, this isn’t about knowing the lyrics to hymns or pretending to be an advocate of a message she refuses to follow herself — it’s about the immoral philosophies she consistently endorses when not appearing on Gospel Music award shows.
Thankfully, those His eye is truly upon have the inerrant Word of God, which clearly warns about false prophets of Hillary Clinton’s stripe. For instance, in Romans 16:17-18, Paul describes “vultures in red pants suits” that with “smooth and flattering speech” promote a deceptive gospel.
With that in mind, this election cycle, forget what Hillary Clinton has to say about her fabricated brand of Christianity and, instead, heed the words of the Apostle Paul who urges God’s sparrows to:
[k]eep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching, which you learned, and turn away from them. For such men [and women] are slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting.
