Barry must be feeling like a parent whose child decided to write a “Mommy Dearest” memoir. As the President relentlessly presses on with plans to “share the wealth,” even intended recipients of Obama-bestowed entitlements are abandoning the hope and change caravan as if it were a burning ship.
To date, Obama’s meteoric rise to fame is surpassed only by his catastrophic fall from grace. Month-to-month, Obama’s approval rating has been in steady decline. According to Rasmussen, immediately following the inauguration in 2009 Obama had only a 30% disapproval rating. Over the last eighteen months, Obama’s negatives have deteriorated to an all time low of a 53% disapproving of President Obama’s job performance.
Early on, America’s high-and-middle earners began to feel the invasive hand of government digging deeper into their lives. Government-enforced sugar daddies quickly became aware that instead of distributing Obama ’08 lawn signs, paying closer attention to Joe the Plumber’s informative conversation with candidate Barack might have been a better use of time.
What is stunning is not the abdication of the predictable high-earner voter group, but the loss of the constituency Barack Obama related to like a doting father trying to win parental affection by overindulging a child.
Until recently, Obama, America’s very own Robin Hood enjoyed a “majority approval rating…from people earning less than $2,000 per month.” Shockingly, in a recent survey that number changed to where “only 49 percent of Americans in that income bracket said they approve of the job Obama is doing.”
As the unemployment rate continues to grow, low earners – those making less than $2,000 per month – are apparently becoming aware that Obama’s unfriendly-towards-business policies also threaten low-paying jobs.
As a result, lower-income earners have switched sides and joined the “evil” upper and middle classes in their negative opinion of the President’s job performance. For the first time since that historic January afternoon when a hopeful nation wept with anticipatory joy, “all four of the income brackets reported…[gave] Obama less than 50% approval.”
Regardless of economic standing the fact that the President’s liberal agenda is being largely rejected by the American people indicates a spirit of self-determination and individualism still dominates the entitlement mentality Obama and his progressive predecessors have worked tirelessly to advance.
