Let My People Go!

Of late, President Obama seems more determined than ever to shackle the nation and push Americans in a direction few seem willing to go. Regrettably, for Obama it appears as if an entity outside the realm of an audible speaking voice keeps encouraging captives that hope endures because powers exist beyond Barry’s authoritarian control.

As Obama cracks the proverbial policy whip, a force not subject to dogmatic edicts, proclamations, and diktats keeps making spontaneous appearances, disrupting the President’s inflexible flow, and exposing the finite nature of Barack Obama’s jurisdiction.

Recently Obama stepped up to the podium to make a statement on financial reform and without a word, a rat showed up. Enough said.

Obama skipped the traditional Memorial Day ceremony at Arlington Cemetery, choosing instead to meld an extended weekend holiday in Chicago with an after-the-fact statement, supposedly in honor of the military, at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

The President’s perfunctory plans were altered and he was not permitted to short-shrift the American military. Instead, the abridged proceedings were cancelled when thunder and lightning drowned out Barry’s insincere remarks.

Regardless of repeated admonitory acts of God, Obama continues to ignore both the message and the cry of the majority.

Insistent on enacting health care policy no one wants, the Obama Administration reestablished who’s in charge by rolling out the New ‘Patient’s Bill Of Rights.’ Obama’s slavish policy is poised to dominate an entire nation by bending medical care to the will and dictates of a system run through an inefficient centralized government.

While the corporate cry continues to issue forth in defiance of health care reform, Obama forges ahead in anxious anticipation to transform America into a nation of submissive policy serfs and bureaucratically controlled chattel.

And so it was, while haughtily delivering “remarks on the Affordable Care Act and the New Patients Bill of Rights,” in the East Room of the White House, a fly landed on Barack Obama’s stoic, pharaoh-like face.

Once again, a message was delivered to Barack Obama, one that eerily coincides with an ancient message conveyed to a leader with similar domineering tendencies.

Else, if thou wilt not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are. Exodus 8:21

As America watches the Gulf of Mexico turn to blood, a podgy fly landing on Obama’s face abounds with ironic symbolism. Bloody water, flies, thunder and hail are all reminiscent of the plagues visited on Egypt warning Pharaoh, thousands of years ago, to “let the people go.”

Let’s see if Pharaoh-Obama listens.  If the President decides not to, it will be interesting to hear his explanation for the boils and the locusts.
